Dalegarth House Garden
90% of the garden was established in 2004 from scratch . We started by cutting down several 30 ft high conifers, establishing new borders and widening the existing ones.Around 12 tons of soil was used to level the lawns and fill the borders. Due to storm damage the monkey puzzle tree which has been a feature of the house since the 1950s had to be removed

Half an hours drive from Dalegarth house and you can be at Watendlath, a jewel in the Lake Districts Crown. En- route you can see two of the most famous views in England, Ashness Bridge and Suprise View

Pictures from a five hour walk which starts just a couple of miles from Dalegarth House . 0n this particular day the views were rated amongst the best ever witnesed by my experienced guide which included his trip to Everest base camp !
